Job Title: Meter Inspection Technician - Victoria, TX
Duration: 6-12 months
$20$22/hr | Paid Training | Field-Based Work
Forge ahead with WSB. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Meter Inspection Technician to support gas meter inspection and corrosion prevention activities in the Victoria area. This is a field-based role ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors and want stable, full-time work with a respected consulting firm. This is a contract role with a duration of 6-12 months and is a great opportunity for future permanent positions!
What You'll Do
Perform visual inspections of above-ground gas meters and piping
Identify signs of corrosion or coating damage
Document inspection results using a company-provided mobile application
Perform basic remediation work such as cleaning, wire brushing, and painting
Report potential gas leaks and follow safety protocols
Travel locally to residential and commercial meter locations
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to walk long distances and perform physical work
Comfortable using a smartphone for photos and documentation
Prior utility, construction, or inspection experience is helpful but not required
Pay & Benefits
$20$22 per hour based on experience
Paid training and certification support
Full-time, steady work, OT eligible
Company-provided resources
Mileage reimbursement $.70 per mile
Weekly Smartphone reimbursement $10.00
